New Project: Additional Sound Design for Deputy Dangle

Chashu Entertainment has hired me to do additional sound design for Deputy Dangle. I am very happy to collaborate with them and provide them with professional quality sounds. It should be a lot of fun! Pew Die Pie and Markiplier played the demo of this game a while back and they loved it!

Deputy Dangle is a fun and lighthearted action/adventure game where you play as one of the Sheriff’s to stop G-MA (Grandma). Mechanics and gameplay resemble similarities to OctoDad and I Am Bread. Some people call it “OctoCop”. I think of it as a “Weekend at Bernie’s” with him in a cop suit.

New Project: Reclaim Earth

I am officially signed on as the composer and sound designer for Reclaim Earth! This started out as a game jam (Low Rez) and I was contacted by Ansity Games to do a couple sounds and tracks. Ansity Games liked my music so much that they decided to move forward with the game and hire me to do more audio for the game.

Reclaim Earth is a FPS set in the near future where aliens have completely taken over and 70% of the human population has been wiped out. You play as a brave citizen to reclaim your planet using clever weaponry and interesting mode mechanics.

We plan to work on this in episodic form and are aiming for a Q4 release. In the meantime, please play the demo here (https://ansitygames.itch.io/reclaim-earth) and let us know your thoughts!

Not a Clone Demo Available Now

The Not A Clone Demo has been released on Newgrounds, GameJolt, and itch.io. I am the sound designer and technical sound designer on the project.

Not A Clone is a satirical game based on the superfluous clones in the app store that plays in a Warioware fashion. If you like Warioware, you will like this game. The mini-games consist of clone of other games such as Angry Birds, Threes, Super Hexagon, Canabult, Fruit Ninja and more!

Favorite Game Soundtracks

Recently, I was asked by a collegue to give them a list of my favorite game soundtracks. As a videogame composer I normally consume a lot of video game music. Recently, I rarely get to listen to the full soundtracks anymore. I have select songs from the soundtracks that I am fond of. However, I have listened to some full soundtracks that I can recommend. Officially represented by Game Music PR

game music prI am elated to say that I am officially represented by a publicist who specializes in the Video Game and Game Audio field of promotion.

Mariusz Borokowski has selected me out of many other composers to be represented by his new publicist company Game Music PR. This means more image promotion, less, marketing and promotion for me so I can focus on creative work as well as possible bigger gigs for Indie Games.

This is a big deal for me because I  when I was seeking representation I was overlooked by other game audio representatives who only focused on the big AAA composers or games that would gain recognition. They were not interested in pulling in AA composers or composers who needed the extra marketing push to reach the next level.  I want to be clear though that I have no hard feelings against them at all.

I am most humble that Mariusz is willing to collaborate with me and help me achieve my goals.  I can feel that this will be a great working relationship.

My First Game Audio Panel!!!!

I had the greatest honor and opportunity to be on my first game audio panel at Rhubarb Studios sponsored by Game-School and LA Indie Devs!

I gave a presentation about how I built the mini Foley stage for I Can’t Escape: Darkness to give the game some identity and character. The turnout was pretty good and the talk went really well. People really enjoyed my presentation and they asked questions too!

Alongside me where some other game audio folks such as Alex Cote, Jeff Swingle and my good friend Kole Hicks!

I Can’t Escape: Darkness Officially Released!

After a long and trying development process the sequel to I Can’t Escape is officially out!

This was a very big and personal project for me. I made mini Foley Stage to create custom sound effects. I tried a new layering system and some binaural techniques to give the game a full atmospheric affect.

I am SUPER HAPPY to tell you that the game ” Super Happy Fun Block” is now on the iTunes App Store.

I had such a wonderful time working on this project and with Molten Tomato Studios, Ethan Benanav and Mandy Benanav.
