Pocket Gamer Connects Books Chase Bethea to be a Guest Speaker!
February 22, 2024I am pleased to share that I am booked to be a guest speaker for Pocket Gamer Connects – San Francisco! My talk “Hunting with Hits – Tempo Slaying Monsters in Harmony” returns!
Pocket Gamer Connects is a game conference that started on 2014 and has made a global appearance. They have hosted events from Vancouver to Seattle, Helsinki to Dubai, Hong Kong to London and more! This year Pocket Gamer Connect celebrates its 10th Anniversary in 2024. When they first started, their mission then was simply to bring together a cross-section of the games industry, to champion the best and brightest, support the upcomers and innovators and generally help the business grow. Initially the focus was squarely upon mobile, but in later years the vision became more holistic with specific tracks and then whole side events focused on other formats and new technologies such as PC, Console, VR/XR, Blockchain/Web3 and the Metaverse.
As a video game composer, I seek this opportunity for a chance to share my insights, experiences, and unyielding enthusiasm with fellow enthusiasts and industry professionals.
I hope to make this talk greater than when I presented it at GDC 2023. With a fresh new audience, my goal is that they will appreciate the music design I achieved in the game, “Questlike Pocket”
My talk will be on Tuesday, March 19th at 11:20AM PST. It will be a Solo session (20 mins including Q&A). This speaking engagement will mark my 42nd talk in four years.
