Guest Speaker Announcement! Berklee Career Jam 2021 with Panelist Chase Bethea

March 30, 2021

I was asked by Berklee College of Music to be one of the panelist for their illustrious Career Jam.  I will be on the panel titled, “Adventures in Music for Video Games“.

I did not attend Berklee so the request for me to speak at this monumental institution is a high honor. Berklee’s previous Career Jams they have hosted other video game music composer legends such as Yoko Shimomura. My Alma mater, CSUN, has not  even asked me to speak there yet.

Career Jam is an annual event that connects you with prominent artists and industry leaders, grows your professional network, and broadens the scope of your career possibilities.

The panel will be covering generalized topics from top video game audio professionals, sound designers, and composers who have worked on titles that include League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Guild Wars 2, Jurassic World VR Expedition, and more.

Other panelist are Adam Burgess (Blizzard Entertainment, Composer), SungHa Hong, (ArenaNet, Associate Producer), Matteo Stronati (Riot Games, Audio Director), Gina  Zdanowicz (Berklee College of Music, Associate Professor, Film Scoring; Composer and Sound Designer) and me, video game composer maestro! Michele Darling (Berklee College of Music, Assistant Chair of Electronic Production and Design) is moderating the panel. I am the outlier on the panel everyone else is associated with Berkelee as a student or instructor.

The artist, H.E.R. will be the Keynote Speaker. I am a huge fan of her music so, that is exciting.

The Career Jam 2021 will be Friday, April 2, 2021. The panel will begin at EDT. Admission is free.
