June 21, 2024It is with great enthusiasm to be featured in the VGM Jam Session (NYC) Real Book Vol. II !!
This is a dream come true for a passionate Video Game Composer such as myself. When do you ever get the opportunity to be in a Real Book? a VGM Real Book at that!
The Real Books, also known as the fake book, is a compilation of lead sheet for jazz standards of the greats that wrote timeless tunes. These have been around at least since the late 1920s. You may (or may not recall) I used the The Real Latin Book to study how to write the music for the game, “On the Peril of Parrots“. Now, my score is in the video game music version. Funny how this comes full circle.
NYC Jam Sessions wrote their own version of a Real Book with classic standards of video game music that people know or will come to know.
It’s an honour to have my work from the award winning video game sound soundtrack, “On the Peril of Parrots” added to the NYC jam session Real Book.
The pieces that are added are “Meta Nuances” and “Artificial Intelligence ”
