Chase Bethea Guest Speaks at UCLA ACM Game Studio about Dynamic Music in Game Development
May 11, 2026Today, I had the opportunity and delight of speaking at UCLA ACM Game Development Club.
Go bruins!
Here is a fun fact when I was at junior Uni (Moorpark College), I had designed my classes to qualify to get into that Uni (UCLA) and got very close.
The students had a myriad of questions after my presentation which I was grateful for such as
-What’s it like doing iterations and what is the workflow like. ( I actually have a 90% revision percentage meaning the first time I indite a track from direction and/or asset list, I normally nail it)
-How to do dynamic music. A subject that I am very passionate about as this is what I specialize in.
-My opinion on game music trailers (something I discovered I’m very opinionated on)
I super appreciated the engagement and they did too.
The student members of the club even designed me a thank you card. This is the second one I have ever received from guest speaking. The first came from my Alma mater.
I am super grateful for their interest and their curiosity.
I DO THIS! BIG LOVE!
